Description:
- The DF 500 RQ is the replacement for the incredibly popular DF 500 R. However, instead of doing away with key features, they have enhanced them. The DF 500 R includes an improved guide frame with clear markings, quick-release lever and sturdy double-column guide.
- For accurate positioning, there are four stop pins (that can be popped in and folded away), saving you the hassle of measuring or marking.
- This sleek machine combines the precision of a round dowel with the flexibility of a flat one, delivering invisible, rock-solid connections between panels, frames, drawers - basically anything you build.
- What sets it apart? First, the patented pendulum-cutting motion: instead of just spinning, the cutter swings and rotates, slicing clean mortises with no scorch marks or kickbacks, and a longer tool life to boot.
- Then there's the depth-stop dial - flip between 12, 15, 20, 25 or 28 mm in seconds. You can dial in the perfect plunge depth for your project without breaking focus
- If it sounds like magic, wait until you hear about the oval DOMINO tenons: they give you a bigger glued surface and joints that won’t twist - think zero‑rotation strength.
- You can use tenons from 4×20 mm up to a hefty 10×50 mm, so whether you're gluing up face frames or building heavy furniture, the DF 500 RQ has your back.
- Setting it up? Faster than your morning coffee. Festool’s intuitive stop‑cap system handles positioning in a blink, and with the smooth fence that tilts from 0° to 90° and quick‑release pins, angled or edge joints feel effortless.
- Plus, the ergonomic grip keeps your wrist happy, even during overhead or awkward cuts.
