The cutting edges are ideal for hard and soft wire, these are also oil hardened and tempered, and then separately induction-hardened. The Knipex KPX0302180 combination pliers have chrome-plated heads for smooth operation, handles with heavy-duty PVC grip for a softer and more positive grip. The cutting edges are separately induction hardened for durability and longer working life. The edges are hardened to approx 61HRc.
